e-Book Launch: I Have a Song to Sing

Theatre Heritage Australia is thrilled to launch the e-book version of Viola Tait’s memoirs, I Have a Song to Sing. First published in December 2018, the complete book will be made available as a free download from the THA website.

Very appropriately, the launch event will be held at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne, a place dear to Viola’s heart, being one of the theatres she first performed in on arriving in Australia in 1940 and the headquarters of the J.C. Williamson Ltd theatrical empire.

Please join us for an afternoon of speeches and songs (G.&S. of course!) when our special guests will speak about the background of the project and pay tribute to Viola Tait, a remarkable lady of the theatre, whose memoirs provides a fascinating behind the scenes glimpse into a glamorous world of the theatre past.
