On the Tuesday 9th May 2013, THA was the guest of Ross Turner and the production team for a tour of the Scenic Studios workshop at Preston. Judy Leech is preparing a full report shortly. In the meantime here is an outline of some of the things Ross spoke about:

  • previous productions for the Australian Ballet and major musicals
  • recent designs for the Queensland Ballet
  • recent trends away from hand painting to digital printing for drops etc
  • his collection of JCW production registers & photographs from the 1920s

A complete set of images taken on the day are available for members to view on our  flickr site.
